Genshin Impact – Kuki Shinobu’s Abilities Detailed in New “Collective Miscellany” Trailer

Genshin Impact’s latest update may have focused on the new 5-star character Yelan but it’s Kuki Shinobu’s time to shine. The 4-star Electro wielder’s character banner is live today. For a better look at her abilities, miHoYo Games has released a new “Collective Miscellany” trailer.

As a Sword user, Shinobu can execute four quick strikes with her charged attack unleashing 2 rapid strikes in succession. “Sanctifying Ring” is her Elemental Skill, creating a Grass Ring of Sanctification. Though it costs some of her HP, this deals Electro damage to nearby foes every 1.5 seconds and follows the current active character. Health is restored for the character based on Shinobu”s max HP.

Her Elemental Burst is “Gyoei Narukami Kariyama Rite” which creates a field that deals Electro damage to enemies within it based on Shinobu’s max HP. The field’s duration is increased if her health is below or equal to 50 percent. As for the Ascension Passives, the first is “Breaking Free” which increases the Healing Bonus by 15 percent if her health is below 50 percent.

“Heart’s Repose” is the fourth Ascension Passive, boosting Sanctifying Ring’s healing amount by 75 percent and damage dealt by 25 percent of Shinobu’s Elemental Mastery. Finally, her Utility Passive “Protracted Prayers” allows for gathering 25 percent more rewards when sent for a 20-hour-long Inazuma Expedition.

Check out the trailer below to see this all in action. For more details on Genshin Impact’s Version 2.7 update “Hidden Dreams in the Depths”, head here.

Sony Will Reveal New Gaming Headsets and Monitors Soon – Rumour

It looks like Sony might be gearing up to reveal and launch plenty of new hardware accessories on the gaming side of things. Known insider Tom Henderson recently claimed that the company was working on a “Pro” controller for the PS5 with additional bells and whistles, and now, in a new report published on Exputer, Henderson states that Sony is also preparing to unveil new gaming headsets and monitors next week.

All of this will apparently fall under a single new branding umbrella dubbed “INZONE”. The INZONE H3 headset will be the cheapest of the three new headsets, will be wired, and will come with 360 spatial audio. The INZONE H7 headset will be wireless and have better battery life. Finally, the INZONE H9 headset will be the most expensive of the lot and will also feature noise-cancelling sound.

Henderson also states that Sony is going to reveal two new gaming monitors with the INZONE branding as well, and that these will feature exclusive features for PlayStation, including auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

One of these will be a 4K and 144 Hz monitor (DisplayHDR600), with the other boasting 1080p and 240 Hz (DisplayHDR400), with both also featuring VRR (HDMI/G-Sync) support and low latency (1ms GtG). Both monitors are allegedly being described as being “perfect” for gaming on the PS5, with gaming assist features also included, such as the screens showing frame rate counters, game time, a viewfinder, black equalizer, refined brightness and contrast, and more.

Pricing for the hardware remains unknown, but according to Henderson, this new INZONE line will be unveiled next week. Whether this means Sony will bundle this reveal with a reveal for the aforementioned new controller and the previously-rumoured God of War Ragnarok release date announcement remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more updates.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker Has Sold About 500,000 Copies Since Launch

After exiting Steam Early Access on May 24th, Blackbird Interactive’s Hardspace: Shipbreaker has done pretty well in sales. In its fiscal year 2021/22 earnings report for the year ending on March 31st, publisher Focus Entertainment revealed that the title had sold “around” 500,000 copies till date. This follows a “very successful PC early-access” window.

As a first-person title, Hardspace: Shipbreaker is set in the far future where players control a shipbreaker for the Lynx Corporation. Their job is to investigate procedurally generated derelict spaceships and recover any valuable salvage. Different tools, like a laser cutter, are necessary for the job but one must also be careful of cutting through the wrong wire and causing an explosion.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker is currently exclusive to PC and playable on PC Game Pass. It’s also in development for Xbox One and PS4, though no release window is available. In the meantime, Blackbird Interactive is also working on Homeworld 3 for Gearbox Publishing and Minecraft: Legends in collaboration with Mojang.

Dragon’s Dogma Won’t be Getting FPS Boost Support on Xbox Series X/S Anytime Soon

It’s never a bad idea to go back to a game as good as Dragon’s Dogma, whether you’re experiencing it for the first time or simply have a hankering to dive back into its meaty offerings, and with Dragon’s Dogma 2 now having been officially confirmed to be in development at long last, interest in the original 2012 action RPG is going to be renewed.

Xbox Series X/S owners usually have the benefit of various enhancements when going back to older games, but sadly, that’s not going to be the case with Dragon’s Dogma. When asked on Twitter if the announcement of the sequel will mean Microsoft will enable FPS Boost support for the original game, thus allowing for a native boost to its performance, Xbox’s director of program management Jason Ronald said that’s not going to be the case.

Apparently, the team at Xbox did indeed investigate Dragon’s Dogma at one point, but after discovering that enabling FPS Boost for it was also causing “some unfortunate side effects”, they decided not to proceed.

Xbox added FPS Boost support to an additional 37 backward compatibility titles back in November last year, and shortly afterward, confirmed that they did not have plans to add the functionality to more games “in the immediate future”. Whether that changes anytime soon remains to be seen.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is confirmed to be in development using the RE Engine, though there’s no official word on when it will launch, or what platforms it will be available for.

The team investigated Dragon’s Dogma when we were working on FPS Boost. There were some unfortunate side effects which meant it couldn’t qualify for the program.

Company of Heroes 3’s New Dev Diary Talks About Destruction

Developer Relic has released a new developer diary for upcoming RTS Company of Heroes 3 where the studio talks about the new destruction system in the game.

According to Relic, players will now be able to topple over bell towers, shatter buildings, and generally change the landscape of the war on a larger scale than previous Company of Heroes games.

The destruction is going to be more than just visual, however, as falling debris and collapsing buildings can hurt soldiers standing nearby. This essentially opens up new tactics for potential battles in the game.

“I have a feeling there will be many people who will end up playing, and they will press tactical pause just to turn the screen a little bit to take advantage of seeing all the destruction and all of its glory in that one frame,” says Relic’s principle technical artist Jason Brackman.

Back in April, Relic had released an earlier developer diary where it talked about the game’s art and authenticity, right down to the detail of having realistic effects for dirt.

Company of Heroes 3 doesn’t have a release date yet, but it is scheduled for release in late 2022. Learn more about the game’s environmental variety here, and the new campaign here.
